2. Distracts you from the stressor. This is temporary but effective. When the distraction has passed you are re focused, and clear minded. You return to the problem able to think logically and not based so much on emotion. Also you are less likely to view it as a problem, more like a situation in life that will get handled, or even a challenge you can overcome.

Improving on your personality and mental state is another avenue of self-development. Understanding one's self is very liberating. This understanding can lead to clarity with life, clear goals, and a happier you. Make sure that you do not linger at the feelings of low self worth. This feeling can lead to depression which is another cause of stress. Make it your goal to improve on the good traits you have.
