Free Personal Stress Level Test

Understand Your Stress Level



Many of us are unsure if the stress that we are feeling is normal. Which is why taking a stress level test can be so beneficial.

Stress can vary from person to person, so what one person can handle may make another person feel overwhelmed. Identifying our stress levels is the first step towards figuring out exactly what we need to do to lower our stress, and ultimately feel better overall. In order to manage our stress, we first have to figure out exactly how we feel, and what is making us feel that way.

We have recorded some questions that will help you to analyze your stress level. They are simple questions about your life that should put your stress levels into perspective.


Free Stress Level Test

The following questions are simple Yes and No questions. Keep track of the number of both yes and no responses in this personal stress level test. Write down how many answers you mark as a “yes” and how many you mark as a “no” on a sheet of paper. We will count them up after the questions are done.

1. Do you feel dread when thinking about the next day and the pressures and responsibilities it will bring?

2. Do you often multi task to the point where it leaves you feeling overwhelmed and overworked?

3. Do you get frustrated easily; even on the smallest task, and don't know why?

4. Do you have heavy debt, or have continuous difficulty paying your bills?

5. Have you been recently unemployed? Or been unemployed for a long period of time within the last year?

6. Have your responsibilities at work changed?

7. Do you push or nag yourself to get things done, even when you are at rest or trying to relax?

8. Are you having any unusual and overwhelming difficulties, or disagreements with a friend, family member, work mate, spouse, child?

9. Do you have an illness in the family, or have any serious personal health issues?

10. Have you had a traumatic event occur fairly recently (such as a death in the family, the loss of your home, ect)?

11. Have you separated from your spouse or gone through a divorce? If you answered Yes to two or more of these stress level test questions, it is likely that you have an elevated stress level. Cope with Stress consider ways to decrease your stress level.

The following questions are Yes and No as well. Please continue to keep track of your yes and no responses.

1. Do you have a flexible schedule in your life?

2. Do you have a regular routine of exercise?

3. Do you generally eat a balanced diet?

4. Do you have a good support system... friends, family, coworkers?

5. Do you enjoy balanced leisure time?

6. Do you have a trusted individual that you confide your problems, joys, and accomplishments in? If you answered Yes to one or more of these questions, you are pointed in the right direction for helping your body to cope with stress.


Tips For Reducing Stress

After evaluating your stress level with the personal stress level test here are some tips for reducing your elevated stress level..

1. Handling stress. How you handle your stress has much to do with your resilience and outlook. Stay positive, invest your energies in worthwhile activities, prioritize, and address your problems in a calm manner when faced with a situation that is not to your liking.

2.Social support. Have a good support system that will help you through your weak times. Have a good confidant.

3. Relaxation therapy. Take the time out to relax. This can be therapeutic and decrease your stress level dramatically. You will likely find that you start to handle your stressors better if you relax.
