How Does Stress Affect Aging?

Stress and human aging, how does it affect you? Do you feel like you have aged a decade in one year? Stress has an effect on the aging process. Before 2005 doctors were still skeptical about the subject, but now various studies have surfaced that give ample evidence of the link between stress and aging.

Having a stressful week at work or at home is not what we are talking about here. We are talking about chronic stress, an unrelenting stressor that causes you emotional and physical distress. This may be the exposure you have had to a traumatic event that took place over a extended period of time.

Stress causes wear and tear on the entire body. We are effected from our brain to our toes. This is because stress has an effect on a cellular level in our bodies. When scientists and doctors took a look at our DNA structure.
